[Route 29] Video/Action - Ecruteak City

While I realize that the mystery of the so-called 'bloobers' is probably foremost in peoples' minds at the moment, but I thought it might be interesting to consider something else for a while. Namely, just what sort of worlds does everyone come from? Do they have technology and devices similar to this one, or something different altogether? What about things such as magic? Are there many countries, or just a few? And so on.

Share as much or as little as you'd like; I for one would be curious to hear it.

Absolutely- for instance, they can obviously travel where humans can't. I remember once we had to send one back and forth from a swamp into the Castle. It was much easier for it to get through the swamp than it would have been for a human.

Though, I rather dislike rats. This one in particular would not shut up. Constantly talking about thing I didn't care about, I eventually had to undo the spell allowing it to speak.

[HEY HEY HEY PAY ATTENTION TO MY SHSL]

Seems so. Though, if it can't be controlled, I don't know why the school would try to study or control it. The other talents are much more tangible.

I suppose it is a strange idea for humans, they all have their own version of the afterlife. What's yours, if you don't mind my asking?

Which one? Technology or magic?

[He can ramble on about either really.]

Sounds like something from the distant past in my world.

[ A pause to think. ]

Some people in my world still use what others would consider magic... but it isn't as commonly accepted as it is in yours.

That's not surprising. Considering [tch] science seems to be a constant everywhere and yes [Denzel presses his glasses on.] I've noticed that as well that magic varies from world to world. Each with their own principles.

Where I'm from magic can do ANYTHING! Why it could make another species the dominant life! Why you could switch bodies with someone else!

It could make it rain- DUCKS! Or even make two-plus-two equal -FISH!

[Someone just doesn't look crazy after having stated all of that.]

What about you and magic where you're from, mmm?

Magic's something most people consider to exist only in stories. There are only a few who still believe it's real, I'm afraid.

Funny how different things are between worlds even though most of us look considerably human.

Well...I suppose not everyone is meant to know anyway. [He is pretty good at the lying thing, she didn't catch anything at all.] Even me, I only know a little bit about the version of the after life other cultures have and I've met their escorts a couple of times, rather eclectic bunch.

That's right, different cultures have a different version of the afterlife and different ways a soul reaches their destination. The most popular and familiar to humans is "Heaven" which is governed by a single god, his human avatar, and beings known as "angels." I've never met God or Jesus--the human avatar--personally, but they're very powerful and I hear they're very kind and forgiving as well.

It sounds silly, doesn't it? That we have all these different afterlives for people? Well...humans are a fascinating bunch of paradoxes and we are all sure that there's a place for them once they've passed on.

More of fewer who realize they have the potential.

[ That thought though... ]

Makes the alternate universe theory seem almost possible, doesn't it? If our worlds were just alternate universes of one world, I mean.

From where I'm from magic is wish magic.

Oh? And how does one perceive and then manipulate these certain energies, mmm?
