[Route 29] Video/Action - Ecruteak City
While I realize that the mystery of the so-called 'bloobers' is probably foremost in peoples' minds at the moment, but I thought it might be interesting to consider something else for a while. Namely, just what sort of worlds does everyone come from? Do they have technology and devices similar to this one, or something different altogether? What about things such as magic? Are there many countries, or just a few? And so on.
Share as much or as little as you'd like; I for one would be curious to hear it.

I used ta think we were pretty smart, but then I came here and everythin' is ten times better! We never had anythin' like these 'gears. Best we had were just regular phones, and those were for the ones who could afford it. Bit rare like that.

[As time goes on she's gotten more comfortable with admitting this upfront, hence the casual explaining tone.]
Though lately the barrier between the demons and the humans has thinned and they've started to live a little more harmoniously. Humans are slowly learning about the Spirit World as well.

[Technology in Crocker's world is obsolete rather quickly.]
After all, I swear there's something new every ten seconds but that's besides the point!
And - yes! There's magic!

I will happily answer your question just as soon as you've answered mine. What on earth is a "bloober" and why is anyone at all concerned with it when there must be something better to do here? Like trying to get back home?
Re: [Video]
As for that, I imagine some people are concerned with it simply because they're covered with some sort of slime that they seem to have an uncanny tendency to get, well, everywhere, and it seems that quite a few people caught them while they were around.
Especially when it seems disgusting.]
Honestly, could they not come up with something better to call it? I can't see a reason for anyone to have caught one, they sound vile.
[Marcia shakes her head irritably.]
Anyway. You had questions and I would much rather talk about where I come from than... bloobers. First things first, there is absolutely nothing like this where I'm from. The primary form of communication is mail. Message rats are popular, if a little expensive.
And annoying.

On the technology side, my world was pretty close to this... except we had a highly prestigious school that everyone in the educated world knew about! You could only be scouted and handpicked to enroll, which required specialists determining that you were not only the best of the best in a particular field, your talent in that field was good enough to match up to the rest.
Everyone who went to that school got the title of SHSL. [OHOHOHOHO] That means 'Super High School Level', a name for everyone to know you're the top in something. I'm SHSL Classical Japanese Dancer.

[Teehee, it would be fun to watch the breakdown.] Of course, the wearing sands of time break down even the best... there is SHSL Good Luck, though! One for every year. But it's a stupid, gimmicky and cheap title.

I guess it was kind of called magic at some point...
[ It just sounds so odd to think of it all as magic... but he'll mull that over some other time. For now, there's the rest of the question. ]
The world I come from is kind of like this one... except we don't have Pokemon running around. There's things like the Pokegear, too. We call them cellphones. But I'm a little curious... how different is this world from yours?
Re: video;

[ A pause to think. ]
Some people in my world still use what others would consider magic... but it isn't as commonly accepted as it is in yours.
