[Route 29] Video/Action - Ecruteak City

While I realize that the mystery of the so-called 'bloobers' is probably foremost in peoples' minds at the moment, but I thought it might be interesting to consider something else for a while. Namely, just what sort of worlds does everyone come from? Do they have technology and devices similar to this one, or something different altogether? What about things such as magic? Are there many countries, or just a few? And so on.

Share as much or as little as you'd like; I for one would be curious to hear it.

Ah, I ain't from nowhere special save for the time apparently. Just regular ol' England!

Although I suppose that doesn't say much considerin' everythin', eh?

Well...the world and time I came from is also a little bit behind the times compared to this one, but I'll explain as best as I can. Humans don't have devices like this, though similar ones do exist in the Spirit World. As for magic, some humans can have abilities to manipulate their spirit energy in different ways, but that's not really magic. Spirit beings like myself can manipulate their energy however they are shaped and demons--well--demons can do so much more than that.

Well, it's a big long island, y'know, plenty a forest and fields when ya aren't at any a the cities. Ain't usually too hot, but can rain plenty and the winters can be somethin', let me tell ya.

I used ta think we were pretty smart, but then I came here and everythin' is ten times better! We never had anythin' like these 'gears. Best we had were just regular phones, and those were for the ones who could afford it. Bit rare like that.
styxiedust: penis last night. Just for the record (Curious ✿ I saw a 60 yr old mans)

That's right, there's the Human World, Spirit World and the Demon World. The Human World lies in the middle, Spirit World is on top and Demon World is on the bottom. Needless to say, their names are fairly obvious to the contents of those worlds. When humans die, we bring them to the Spirit World so they can go to the afterlife.

[As time goes on she's gotten more comfortable with admitting this upfront, hence the casual explaining tone.]

Though lately the barrier between the demons and the humans has thinned and they've started to live a little more harmoniously. Humans are slowly learning about the Spirit World as well.

[He gives a sheepish laugh.]

Angel- my partner from the start- she had ta deal with most a it since I didn't have a clue. Glad I got one that's sorta human shaped in that regard.

Paradise is...[she frowns, looking as though she's trying her best to describe it, but--] escorts of souls like me aren't allowed into paradise, and the road is long, but yes I would say that it's still located in the Spirit World. Unless they're registered to be reborn, I suppose, but that's not my area.

N-No, um... nothing like that... My world didn't have half of the things that're here - no televisions, no electricity, no bicycles, magazines and as far as I know the ocean was somewhere outside the walls. At least that's what Armin's book said. I've seen part of it in Cherrygrove but that's about it.

There's computers where I come from but they're not able to transport objects across distances - yet. But you can communicate from long distances.

[Technology in Crocker's world is obsolete rather quickly.]

After all, I swear there's something new every ten seconds but that's besides the point!

And - yes! There's magic!

[When the feed comes on- and it feels like it's the first she's managed to get it to come on effortlessly, yay for learning- she looks a little annoyed.]

I will happily answer your question just as soon as you've answered mine. What on earth is a "bloober" and why is anyone at all concerned with it when there must be something better to do here? Like trying to get back home?

Kind of, yeah.

I plan on going to them sooner or later but I'm taking my time in traveling. I've never had this much freedom before because of the walls and the threat of titans, s it's... almost like walking around in a dream or stepping into a book.

Mm. They, ah... They're basically giants that can be as big as me or bigger than houses and trees, but the biggest one we know about is sixty meters tall. They eat humans where I'm from and they've actually driven us to the brink of extinction. The only thing that really keeps us 'safe' from them are the walls that're fifty meters high.

I could, um... I could try and draw a map if you want.

[OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY TIME TO BRAG]

On the technology side, my world was pretty close to this... except we had a highly prestigious school that everyone in the educated world knew about! You could only be scouted and handpicked to enroll, which required specialists determining that you were not only the best of the best in a particular field, your talent in that field was good enough to match up to the rest.

Everyone who went to that school got the title of SHSL. [OHOHOHOHO] That means 'Super High School Level', a name for everyone to know you're the top in something. I'm SHSL Classical Japanese Dancer.

I'd think easier, myself. At least they have somethin' ta compare it ta, right?
