[Route 29] Video/Action - Olivine City

*the feed comes on today to show Sion looking, well, not exactly disheveled, but what can be seen of his hair and clothing isn't quite in the near-perfect order it usually is, more like a hastily-done job of straightening things out after being out on an especially windy day. Despite this, however, his smile seems even brighter than usual....*

I must admit, I was rather skeptical of the idea being able to ride a flying bird- even a giant one- at all, let alone long distances, but it seems this place is rather full of surprises. And rather worth the effort to obtain the ability to do so, I might add, considering the travel time it saves.

I don't suppose the rewards of challenging the other gyms are nearly as useful?

*he says like he hasn't already gotten most of them....*

Awesome backtagging skills? :D

I would not know in all honesty. We traveled over the world a great distance quickly, but Pokemon can do the same thing. One would have to sit down and compare the distance traveled, then the speeds... Well, there are better things one could do with their time, I suppose.

[ It isn't as though the British sit around talking about the air speed velocity of a swallow or anything like that. Nope. ]

I agree! Thank you for being so awesome with backtagging!

Yes, I believe that is their intended purpose. Although I was told by another that they were useful tools in modern war. They could carry weapons and drop them upon towns. Such a thing could not properly be defended against, I think...

Same here. She says after waiting over two weeks to tag this back :(

Is such a thing possible? Attacking something from the s--aha! [ Seems like she's figured it out. ] Arrows.

I try to do that at least :D

Magic..? [ Now she's a bit more curious. ] What do you know of magic?

[personal profile] ex_cashcow493 2012-08-09 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
You have used magic? [ Furthermore: ] It was common for people in your world to use it?

[personal profile] ex_cashcow493 2012-08-09 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
So it was taught so regularly? [ It's a culture shock to her. ] How strange a world that seems.

Well, there is magic of some type in this world. All of these spells the Pokemon can do classify as magic, does it not?

How could they consider it magic if magic is something often found in fairy tales for them? They also have no knights or kings, but both walk amongst them in these lands.

Has anyone begun to research Pokemon and the source of their power?

[ Not that she would; she's just interested in the results. ]
