[Route 29] Video/Action - Azalea Town

*Hello, Route, have a certain silver-haired king with an almost uncharacteristically bewildered expression on his face*

Now, I realize that there's a number of Pokemon which can evolve in more than one various ways, such as how Eevee can become one of seven different ones, but...

*he turns the camera, panning past a Ninjask that's sitting quietly in the grass nearby to zoom in on a Shedinja*

...But is it normal for one to evolve into two separate ones at once?

[Woah. Consider his interest caught. Granted, he had already been skimming through the pokédex and thought Nincada and Ninjask looked interesting but...]

Nincada can do that?

[ she starts to reply in video before she sees the bugs in question, quickly changing to voice and avoiding looking at her screen. ]

W, wait... what happened? Did it split in half or something?

[ ew... ]

[Ryner is also surprised by this turn of events, but, well, it's not like he's never seen a Shedinja before...]

...So that's where they come from.
failures: (✎ oh crap)

Uh, yeah...Nincada's kind of a special case.

[Larry doesn't look happy at all to see the Pokemon in that video. He was even apprehensive about talking about them.]

[flinching slightly at the view of the Shedinja, but he clears his throat quickly and nods]

Normal for that one, but not normal for Pokemon overall.

[Like a few of the others who have responded, Jade doesn't exactly look very pleased when she sees the Pokémon in question is Shedinja. Her expression doesn't stay that way for long, though.]

No, I'm pretty sure Nincada is the only one that does that...

[ Suddenly pale at the sight of a Shedinja. ]

I... I have never heard of such an occurrence. [ Swallowing, she forces herself to continue. ] Although it is unwise to just show off that Pokemon to those who have been here long enough. There was an incident shortly after I arrived that involved those fiends.

[Count Atsuro as yet another person who doesn't look very happy to see the Shedinja. Nothing personal against yours, Sion, just lingering trauma. But he quickly hides it with a smile.]

It's normal for just Nincadas.
killer_sweets: (Sorry I don't speak boring)

[Whelp he'd would have been happy never seeing that thing again. ]

So that's where those bastard come from, I should have known. It's not normal, though it does make sense in a twisted sort of way.

[AND NOW FOR SOMEONE WHO ISN'T COMPLETELY HORRIFIED]

...I can't say I've heard of something like that happening before, but that sounds absolutely fascinating. Tell me, from what Pokemon do those two evolve?
